Inside Exemplary Service: Ford Musician Awardees Date: Friday, November 4, 2016 Time: 1:00-2:00pm Eastern Meet the first five orchestra musicians who earned a Ford Musician Award for Excellence in Community Service. Learn about what motivates them to go above and beyond and how to foster and recognize the full range of potential for musicians to provide meaningful service through music. This new League of American Orchestras program is made possible by Ford Motor Company Fund. The awardees are selected by a panel of industry professionals through a competitive process. Each musician receives a $2,500 grant, with another $2,500 going to his or her orchestra to fund professional development for musicians that focuses on community service and engagement.
